The Life Pisa T-shirts for the Life Pisa Team were presented in Volos

In the framework of the European program Life Pisa, a workshop was held at the Town Hall of the city of Volos in order to inform the citizens about the insect Thaumetopoea pityocampa and other pests of the urban environment. The speakers were from the Department of Agriculture, Crop production and Rural Environment of the University of Thessaly and from Benaki Phytopathology Institute. The attendance was great and the authorities of Volos were also present. During the workshop, the speakers talked about the need to control the pine moth. They mentioned that the health problems that the moth can cause to humans can be really dangerous. In addition, they showed to the public the actions of the Life Pisa project to the countries that participate at it .In the end of the workshop, the hosts (UTH) gave to the partners of the project and to the authorities t-shirts with the logo of the project on it as a souvenir.
